Railway Technical Society of Australasia (RTSA)

For engineers dedicated to rail systems and railway technology.

The Railway Technical Society of Australasia is pledged to the needs of the railway industry and the individuals who have dedicated their engineering careers to railway technology and systems.

The RTSA promotes collaboration between academic institutions, government, industry and commercial organisations with a goal of advancing Australasian railway technology and management.

As a joint Technical Society of Engineers Australia and IPENZ New Zealand, the RTSA promotes the exchange of knowledge and expertise of railway systems. This goal is facilitated by society initiatives and events such as Core, a highly regarded biennial conference.

Awards, scholarships, and advocacy for all practitioners — including students — highlight the RTSA’s commitment to the railway industry and the engineers that drive its progress.

With six chapters covering Australia and New Zealand, the RTSA is positioned to enhance the professional development and networking of any Australasian engineer working in railway industries.
