About Young Engineers Illawarra

YEA Illawarra Mission Statement

Young Engineers Australia Illawarra (YEA-I) exists to represent, support and provide a voice for the young engineering team. Through a culture of innovation, integrity, and the pursuit of excellence, YEA-I facilitates the professional and personal development of our membership. This establishes engineers as highly respected members of the community.

Sponsorship

Young Engineers Australia - Illawarra (YEA-I) was founded in 1991 and has run an active program each year for the benefit of Engineers in the under 35 age bracket.

The program is diverse and includes social, technical and professional development activities. The YEA-I Committee is a sub-committee of the Illawarra Regional Group of Engineers Australia.

The aim of YEA-I is to increase awareness among young Engineers as to what their professional association has to offer. Also, to involve them in technical and social gatherings and to promote the profession of Engineering within the Community.

We believe these activities are important to young Engineers or people studying to become Engineers. However, these activities require finance to be successful.

It is in this area that we would like to ask you to consider offering some assistance. Engineers Australia is a non profit organisation, which has limited funds. YEA-I is allocated a small annual budget which in the past has been stretched to capacity.

The Committee would be extremely appreciative if your company could assist them with any form of donation. This may be money, resources, time or even suggestions as to how our sponsorship efforts may be made more successful.

Your contribution could be used for a specific event (nominated by your organisation) or just to support the group's activities generally. Sponsorship would be gratefully acknowledged on all our promotional material.

Your assistance would help enhance the status of young Engineers in our Region and would provide them with the opportunity to develop skills that are not gained at university and also to develop valuable networks necessary in their future professional career.

Please contact Madeline Cross, Regional Co-Ordinator for the Illawarra/Sutherland Region on (02) 4221 4086 for further information.
